Nine vehicles figured in a smash-up in Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City.

A black sport utility vehicle (SUV) rammed into other vehicles parked at a nonoperating gasoline station morning on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025.

The SUV slammed suddenly into one of the vehicles that hit other vehicles in the process, including three motorcycles.

The impact hit a fuel dispenser that fell on the pavement.

In an initial report, the driver of the black SUV dozed off.

He was taken by the traffic police for investigation.

GMA Regional TV Balitang Bisdak proceeded to the Traffic Enforcement Unit to seek for comment, but the driver refused an interview.

It was learned that the family of the driver arranged an amicable settlement with the owners of the affected vehicles.

“Kusog lagi, kusog jud (lagubo) kay didto man mi. Paggawas namo, diha na, wasak na dinha,” Benedicto Hinampas, a resident, said.

Oliver Bultron, a driver who used to park in the said spot, pointed out that his car could have been hit, too, by the black SUV. But because the area was full the night prior, he parked across the nonoperating gasoline station.

“Apil pod unta to akoa og wa pa ko nakuan pag-parking nako gabii. Perte mang punoa dia. Didto ko ni parking atbang, usahay adto ko mo-parking, usahay ari diri,” Bultron said.
