The streets are about to come alive with dancing, music, and thousands of people as the much-awaited Gilon-Gilon ed Dalan parade kicks off on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

But before the fun starts, the city’s Public Order and Safety Office (POSO) is preparing for major road closures.

Starting at 1 p.m., several roads will be closed to give way to the parade—one of the biggest highlights of the Bangus Festival.

The assembly area will be at Zamora Street corner Perez Boulevard. From there, the parade will pass through Perez Boulevard, then MH del Pilar, and head toward AB Fernandez Avenue, ending at the Plaza.

“Iikot ‘yun to Perez Boulevard, MH del Pilar then halfway ng junction sarado papunta sa AB Fernandez Boulevard to Plaza,” POSO Assistant Chief Rexon De Vera said.

Because of ongoing road elevation projects, this year’s route is slightly different from previous ones. Road signs are already in place, and authorities expect heavy traffic in the area. Still, public utility drivers like jeepney operators plan to continue their routes.

“Babyahe pa rin kahit traffic kasi kawawa ang pamilya namin kung hindi naman kami babyahe,” Niño Santos, a jeepney driver, said.

Despite the expected traffic, excitement is building across the city.

The Gilon-Gilon ed Dalan parade is set to start at 3 p.m. and promises a colorful, high-energy celebration of Dagupan's most famous product: Bangus (milkfish).

City officials urge motorists and commuters to plan their trips early and follow alternate routes that will be announced before the event.
