A 27-year-old man died after the container truck he was driving crashed into five other vehicles and flipped over on the national highway in Alubijid, Misamis Oriental.

Initial investigation revealed that the truck was traveling downhill when its middle tire allegedly exploded suddenly.

The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off and hit five other vehicles.

Police said the truck continued to move forward until its cargo container was detached and thrown off, and the vehicle overturned.

The impact pinned the driver inside the truck. He did not reach the hospital alive.

“Ang driver naipit gyud sa sulod sa sakyanan kusog nga dagan ug impact gidala siya sa OWWA hospital sa atong CDRRMO gi-declare siya na patay sa doctor,” Go added.
