The Highway Patrol Group (HPG) 7 has filed cases against two content creators for stunts done on Cebu roads that hampered the flow of vehicles, and marked by trouble or vexation.

The filing of cases at the prosecutor's office also demonstrated that HPG 7 is serious in going after abusive content creators.

In March 2025, a video logger (vlogger) dubbed “Snailman” donned a costume that resembled a snail and crawled on the national highway in Consolacion town, north Cebu that obstructed the flow of vehicles for a few minutes.

The vlog went viral on social media platforms which reached immediately the attention of HPG 7.

In an interview with GMA Integrated News, the vlogger identified as Brian Emnace owned up to his "big mistake" and apologized.

Another content creator, who uses the handle "Boy Banat," climbed the roof of a public utility jeepney and gyrated on top.

The said content creator was earlier summoned by HPG 7 after he also figured in a controversial stunt at the Transcentral Cebu Highway (TCH), on the Cebu City side.

In a prank, the said vlogger sported a costume resembling a character of a popular  animation (animé) metaseries.

He appeared at the office of HPG 7, and apologized. However, instead of being prudent with his next content, he manipulated his appearance at the HPG 7 as another content that doubled approximately his number of views, the authorities said.

Following the recent stunt that has continued to mock apparently laws on road safety, Police Colonel Wilbert Parilla, HPG 7 chief, said that they will not summon vloggers or content creators anymore.

A case will be filed immediately against erring vloggers or content creators.

GMA Regional TV Balitang Bisdak is yet to seek a comment from the content creators involved.
