Dengue cases in Iloilo Province reached a total of 1,431 cases, according to data from the Provincial Health Office (PHO) from January 1, 2025 to April 19, 2025.
The figures showed an 82 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024 with 788 cases.
Of 1,431 dengue cases, eight individuals died due to complications.
The towns of Pototan and Carles logged two death cases each, and one each from Oton, Tigbauan, Dueñas, and Balasan towns.
Of the 43 local government units (LGUs) in the province, the Municipality of San Joaquin logged the highest number of dengue cases at 118. Oton town recorded 86, Leon town with 79, Cabatuan town with 70, and Dumangas town with 67 cases.
Based on PHO data, the most vulnerable are children ages one year old to nine years old with 513 cases.
