More than 20 stores were razed to the ground after a fire hit the back portion of a public terminal in Barangay Poblacion, Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) raised the fire to second alarm.

Tricycles and other vehicles parked at the terminal were not affected. The terminal is not yet accommodating buses, as of this writing.

No one was reported hurt in the incident.

The damage to properties reached around P400,000.

“Under investigation pa tayo kasi nga magbi-based pa nga yung tamang sagot natin sa mga ebidensya na makakalap natin,” BFP-Lambayong Spokesperson, SFO2 Michael Arsibayan, said.

Meanwhile, around 31 families were displaced after a fire razed at least 10 houses in Barangay Carmen, Cagayan de Oro.

The fire was raised to third alarm.

The cost of damage was estimated at P1 million.

The families affected are taking shelter temporarily at the West City Central School covered court.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
