An 11-year-old girl was found dead inside her bedroom in Barangay Matilo, Nabunturan, Davao de Oro.
Police said the live-in partner of the victim’s elder brother discovered the girl lying lifeless on the bed and covered with a blanket.
The victim sustained wounds in the neck. Bloodstains were seen on the walls and floor of the room.
Authorities arrested the 27-year-old suspect, the live-in partner of the victim’s aunt, during hot pursuit operation.
The body of the victim will be autopsied to determine whether she was raped first before getting killed.
Investigation into the incident continues.
