A 24-year-old security guard died on the spot after his motorcycle slammed into a solar light post along the bypass road in Laoag City.
Authorities identified the victim as Ajonrie Romy Philip Wasay.
Based on the police investigation, Wasay lost control of the motorcycle before crashing into the post.
Due to the strong impact, his hand and foot were severed, and his motorcycle was destroyed.
Police said the rider was speeding at the time of the crash.
The victim’s family is yet to release a statement.
