With just two weeks to go before the May 13 elections, over 200 teachers in Mangaldan are now fully equipped to serve as members of the Electoral Board after completing their final briefing with the Commission on Elections (COMELEC).
During the session, the COMELEC also verified and certified the Election Day Computerized Voters List (EDCVL) and Posted Computerized Voters List (PCVL) to ensure smooth and accurate voting procedures.
“Napaka-importante nito para alam nila ang gagawin nila kasi sila ang aakto sa election day,” Gloria Cadiente, Municipal Election Officer of Mangaldan, said.
This refresher training helps teachers recall their duties and responsibilities, especially since their initial training was held weeks ago.
“Importante para alam namin gagawin, ma-refresh kami,” Aleta Quinto, a member of the Electoral Board, said.
COMELEC confirmed that Automated Counting Machines (ACMs) will be delivered to voting centers on May 5, accompanied by police officers for security.
“Pag-alis ng ACM dito kasama na rin silang naka-deploy,” Cadiente added.
Each voting center will be guarded by two police officers.
Final testing and sealing of the ACMs is scheduled for May 6, just six days before election day.
Authorities continue to ensure that all preparations are in place to guarantee safe, secure, and orderly voting.
