Labor groups along with cause-oriented groups are set to stage a "wide Labor Day rally" on Thursday, May 1, 2025.
The labor groups and cause-oriented groups will unite in a march from various assembly points toward Fuente Osmeña Circle in Cebu City where they will raise their concern on hike in wages.
Among their other concerns are job security, or security of tenure.
The groups, according to Jaime Paglinawan, vice chairperson of Kilusang Mayo Uno, are also set to elucidate on their opinion about the national government’s rollout of P20-per-kilogram rice, citing that the program is a “band-aid solution.”
