Supporters of former President Rodrigo Duterte and his family have gathered outside his house in Ecoland, Davao City evening on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, after reports circulated that an alleged search warrant will be served at the Duterte properties.
However, no search warrant was served, as of this writing.
Duterte’s son, Davao City First District Representative Paolo Duterte, issued a statement condemning what he described as harassment against their family.
"We strongly condemn the recent actions of the PNP-CIDG that have clearly crossed the line into harassment against my family. It is disheartening to see that those who are sworn to uphold the law are being blinded—not by justice, but by money,” Paolo said in a statement.
“Let me be clear: we are documenting everything and listing down the names of those involved.
When the time comes, you will answer—not to us—but to the very forces of justice you have turned your back on. You won’t be facing people with money, but people who are ready to stand their ground,” Paolo added.
The statement also said that the Duterte camp is monitoring the alleged arrival of 30 operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and 90 members of the PNP Special Action Force (SAF) from Luzon.
“And to those among you from SAF who blindly follow these operations, know this—we already know where you are heading, and many are waiting,” Paolo said.
PNP spokesperson, Police Brigadier General Jean Fajardo, said CIDG Director, Major General Nicolas Torre III, denied the alleged operation of CIDG in Davao City.
Duterte is in detention in The Hague, Netherlands facing charges for alleged crimes against humanity in relation to his controversial war on drugs.
