Authorities in Northern Luzon arrested four individuals in separate buy-bust operations in La Union and Ilocos Norte, seizing over P600,000 worth of suspected narcotics.

In Bacnotan, La Union, joint forces of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and local police arrested three individuals in a buy-bust operation at Purok Singko, Sitio Paratong, Barangay Poblacion.

Authorities identified one of the suspects as alias “Papet,” 48, a resident of the town and tagged as a high-value drug target. Two others, identified only as alias “Mark” from Cavite and alias “Zahrah” from San Juan, La Union, were also caught.

During the operation, officers seized suspected shabu and marijuana worth over P600,000, along with the marked buy-bust money.

All three suspects are now detained at the PDEA Regional Office 1 jail facility.

In Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, a 38-year-old man was also arrested in a separate police-led buy-bust operation. According to authorities, the suspect sold three sachets of suspected shabu to an undercover officer. Police recovered three more sachets from his possession.

The drugs seized were worth more than P6,000.

The suspects are facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
