A 16-year-old female cyclist died after she was hit by a motorcycle in Barangay Vintar, Valencia City, Bukidnon.

Based on investigation, the victim was traveling the slow lane when the motorcycle behind hit her upon reaching the place of incident.

Because of the impact, the victim was thrown off the bicycle. She was rushed to the hospital but she died shortly.

The 46-year-old rider, on the other hand, also sustained minor injuries. He was taken into police custody and may face charges for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.

BUS INCIDENT

Meanwhile, at least 14 people were injured after the bus they were riding fell on its side in Malita, Davao Occidental.

Based on investigation, the bus allegedly lost its brakes, prompting the driver to maneuver the bus to avoid a cliff.

Some passengers were brought to the hospital while others sustained minor injuries.
