The Police Regional Office-Davao (PRO-11) is determined to press charges against those who allegedly spread false information about a supposed operation at the house of former President Rodrigo Duterte in Davao City.

“Nakausap namin ang ating CIDG at Special Action Force, and wala po silang impending operation sa bahay po ni FPRRD sa Dona Luisa. Immediately, na-determine namin na ito ay isang false information,” PRO-11 Director, Brigadier General Leon Victor Rosete, said.

Rosete said the police did not receive any warrant from the court to search the properties of the Dutertes, particularly the house of the former President.

Duterte supporters gathered outside the house of the former President evening on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, after reports circulated that an alleged search warrant will be served.

Duterte’s son, Davao City First District Representative Paolo Duterte, issued a statement condemning what he described as harassment against their family.

"We strongly condemn the recent actions of the PNP-CIDG that have clearly crossed the line into harassment against my family. It is disheartening to see that those who are sworn to uphold the law are being blinded—not by justice, but by money,” Paolo said in a statement.

The statement also said that the Duterte camp is monitoring the alleged arrival of 30 CIDG operatives and 90 members of the PNP Special Action Force (SAF) from Luzon.

However, Rosete clarified that there has been no deployment of personnel from the CIDG and PNP SAF from Luzon.

Police raised the possibility that the spreading of false information is part of a tactic to create alarm and fear among the public, especially that the election is approaching.

PRO-11 and the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit-11 have launched a thorough investigation to identify the source of the false information.

“Ang pagpapakalat ng maling impormasyon online ay maaring liable sa ating batas at ito po ay isang serious offense sa ating Philippine law,” Rosete said.
