The earthquake struck at 12:55 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025, according to Earthquake Information Number 1 released by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).
The earthquake was located 09.25°N, 123.17°E - 008 km S 67° W of Valencia, Negros Oriental with a depth of 10 kilometers, and is tectonic in origin.
