Quick Reaction Teams will be deployed in five towns in the Province of Iloilo because of intense political rivalry.
The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) will deploy additional forces via Quick Reaction Teams in the Municipalities of Ajuy, Sara, Estancia, Concepcion, and San Dionisio in Northern Iloilo.
A total of 3,300 police personnel has been deployed in Iloilo.
The Quick Reaction Teams are tasked to address complaints immediately, or information received either by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) or the Philippine National Police (PNP) on intense political rivalry.
Aside from the said towns, the Municipalities of Badiangan, Janiuay, Alimodian, Maasin, and Joaquin are also monitored tightly because of serious armed threat.
Meanwhile, Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) is on full alert status in relation to the presence of alleged rebels in the Municipality of Tapaz.
CPPO disclosed of possible impediments that the rebels can orchestrate on election day in the municipality, such as probable threats upon voters.
