A vote-counting machine that malfunctioned in Casiguran, Aurora was finally tested and sealed evening on Tuesday, May 6, after a replacement USB device arrived.

The final testing and sealing (FTS) originally scheduled on Monday, May 5, was delayed after the Automated Counting Machine (ACM) encountered a problem with its USB device.

The contingency USB arrived at the precinct around 7:10 p.m. on May 6.

Officials proceeded immediately with the retesting, which lasted nearly two hours before the machine was successfully sealed.

The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) said the machine is now ready for use in the upcoming polls.
