Anti-narcotics agents arrested a tricycle driver and seized suspected shabu worth nearly P7 million in a sting operation in Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Zamboanga (PDEA-9) said the suspect is a resident of Sultan Naga Dimaporo, Lanao del Norte.
PDEA-9 added that the suspect had long been under surveillance for alleged involvement in illegal drug activities.
Seized from the suspect were a pack of suspected shabu weighing around one kilo and some of his personal belongings.
Authorities are investigating the source of illegal drugs.
The suspect is now detained and will face charges for alleged violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act ( RA 9165).
