Expect rain on Election Day this Monday, May 12, as localized thunderstorms may hit parts of Pangasinan, according to PAGASA.

The weather bureau advised voters to head to polling stations early, as rain mayj pour in the afternoon.

“Sa hapon uulan yan kaya dapat magdala ng payong tapos malalakas ang karaniwang kulog diyan,” Engr. Jose Estrada Jr., Chief Meteorological Officer of PAGASA-Dagupan Station, said.

Some voters are already making adjustments. Arlene Simorio, a senior citizen, said she plans to vote during the special early voting period for seniors.

“Maaga na ako boboto,” she said.

PAGASA clarified that these scattered rains are not yet signs of the wet season. They are still considered normal even during the dry season.

The official start of the rainy season might not be declared until June.
