A 15-year-old boy was injured by a stray bullet in Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental on the eve of the elections, May 11, 2025.

In an interview with GMA Super Radyo Davao, Police Captain Joselito Cortes, spokesperson of the Davao Occidental Provincial Police Office, said that around dawn on Sunday, a suspected riding-in-tandem indiscriminately fired a gun along the road. The bullet hit the boy in the shoulder while he was inside their home.

The victim is now in stable condition and is currently recovering at the Southern Philippines Medical Center in Davao City after sustaining a bone fracture.
