A total of 22 Automated Counting Machines (ACMs) in the Province of Iloilo experienced glitches on Election Day.
The figure is based on data from Provincial Commission on Elections (COMELEC)-Iloilo Technical Hub, as of 3 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2025.
In an interview with Ardie Mingoy, point person of the Iloilo Provincial COMELEC Technical Hub, by GMA Super Radyo Iloilo, a total of 14 towns experienced technical glitches in the ACMs, but that these were fixed immediately by the technical staff.
According to Mingoy, the technical issues include glitches in scanners, and paper jam.
Atty. Reinier Layson, COMELEC-Iloilo Province election officer, said that there are around 10 ACMs on standby as part of the contingency plan for the 43 Local Government Units of the province.
