Nine of 12 Automated Counting Machines (ACMs) at Ormoc Central School in the Province of Leyte malfunctioned but were fixed immediately.

GMA Regional TV Balitang Bisdak went with the Department of Education Supervising Officer (DESO) Technical Staff to their assigned precincts after they received reports on ACMs that failed to read ballots.

According to the technical staff, they dealt with "minor glitches" only. However, they had to open the machines and wipe the lenses for these to work properly.

Other technical issues they have responded to are glitches in scanners and printers.

It was further determined that debris and dust compromised the functionality of machines.

They also made sure that airflow from fans is directed at ACMs to provide proper ventilation.

Marietta Belardo, DESO technical support staff member, is glad that the glitches were addressed, and that the resolution did not require a replacement, or a contingency machine.

Ormoc Central School is one of the largest voting centers in Ormoc City with 12 clustered precincts.

Registered voters in Ormoc Central School are from four barangays.

As of this writing, long queues of voters is observed in a few voting precincts that experienced minor glitches in their ACMs.
