#Eleksyon2025 winners in Ormoc City were proclaimed afternoon on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, led by reelectionist Mayor Lucy Torres-Gomez.
The Session Hall was packed with people during the canvassing conducted by the Municipal Board of Canvassers. The Session Hall also served as proclamation venue.
The winning councilors were proclaimed first, on to the Vice Mayor-elect Leo Carmelo “Toto” Locsin Jr., and Mayor Lucy Torres-Gomez.
Leyte Province Fourth District Representative Richard Gomez, who also leads the count in his reelection bid, came to support his wife and the rest of the Ormoc City Development Team.
Torres went emotional upon getting a hold of her COMELEC certification, saying she recalled the challenges during the campaign period.
She said that the recent campaign was a tough one because "there was real danger."
"You’re asking why I was emotional, yeah it's just overwhelming, the results. How everything worked together, how everything just worked,” Torres said.
The slate won all elective positions in the city.
“Beautiful campaign. Ingon si Lucy this was a beautiful war. We stuck with the plan, we knew we were very strong, and we also knew where we were weak,” Richard Gomez said.
