The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has proclaimed the winners of the 2025 midterm elections in General Santos City on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
Incumbent Mayor Lorelie Pacquiao was reelected with 147, 992 votes.
“Pasalamat usab ako sa katawhan sa General Santos, sa ikaduhang termino nga gihatag nila. Kung unsa man akong gibuhat sa first term, mas lalo pa tang maningkamot, i-triple nato ang pagpaningkamot kay nakita nato ang salig sa katawhan,” Pacquiao said.
Atty. Ed Yumang won the vice mayoral post after garnering 139,050 votes.
For the congressional race, Shirlyn Bañas emerged victorious as the city’s new lone district representative, securing a total of 163,511 votes.
“Nalipay ko tungod kay tungod sa dako kaayo nga pagsalig sa mga tao. We’ll make sure nga atong mga gilatag na plataporma ato gyung buhaton para sa tanan,” Bañas said.
Meanwhile, candidates who won a city council seat were:
- Jonathan Blando – 104,690 votes
- Cesar Jr. Bañas – 100,734 votes
- Engr. Bing Dinopol – 99,295 votes
- Elizabeth Bagonoc – 92,588 votes
- Ralph Ronald Yumang – 92,083 votes
- Atty. Franklin Gacal – 88,387 votes
- Michael Pacquiao – 87,686 votes
- Richard Atendido – 86,955 votes
- Virginia Llido – 86,933 votes
- Atty. Ramon Melliza – 85,706 votes
- Dominador Lagare – 82,346 votes
- Joey Dinopol – 82,013 votes
The City Board of Canvassers proclaimed the winners after canvassing the results from 425 clustered precincts in the city.
Based on the canvass report, out of the 368,454 registered voters, 76.81 percent or 282,996 voters cast their votes.
