With a total of 881,307 votes, Ramon Guico III has been re-elected for a second term as governor of Pangasinan. The governor said he will continue focusing on education, healthcare, infrastructure, and tourism across the province.
Many Pangasinenses hope the government will sustain its current health programs, especially the free distribution of maintenance medicines for senior citizens.
"Sana maipagpatuloy ‘yung programa sa kalusugan kasi mahalaga ‘yun. ‘Yung mga senior kasi nabibigyan talaga sila ng maintenance nila," Josie Visperas, a resident of Mangaldan, said.
Guico also plans to expand tourism projects, including new developments in the town of Manaoag.
May gagawin tayo doon,” he said.
Aside from tourism, the Guico administration is set to review the condition of bridges in the province. The governor pointed to damage caused by overloaded trucks and vowed to take action.
