The Davao City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) and some candidates have started removing campaign materials just days after the May 12, 2025 midterm elections.

The collected campaign materials will be brought to a recycling facility.

Staff members of newly elected First District Councilor Ragde Ibuyan also took down their campaign posters, including those of fellow candidates under the Hugpong sa Tawong Lungsod political group.

Last May 9, 2025, incumbent Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte issued an executive order directing all local candidates to form teams tasked with removing, reusing, and recycling both local and national campaign paraphernalia from May 13 to 15.

“Ever since ingnon ana man gyud ta. A day after elections, limpyo nagyud ta tanan. So, we would like to keep Davao City clean. Mas maayo nga limpyo dayon, unya back to normal ta,” Duterte said.

The Commission on Elections-Davao (COMELEC-11) also ordered candidates to take down their election posters, including campaign posts on social media.

“Five days after elections dapat matanggal na nila,” COMELEC-11 Assistant Regional Direct, Atty. Gay Enumerables, said.

COMELEC-11 said failure to comply may result in the filing of an election offense.
