As part of Labor Month, the Social Security System (SSS) has intensified its campaign against delinquent employers in Pangasinan, issuing show cause orders to companies that failed to register and remit contributions for their workers.

Through its “Run After Contribution Evaders” or RACE program, SSS-Dagupan personnel visited businesses across Central Pangasinan.

The team served show cause orders to employers who failed to register their business or remit employees’ contributions.

“We go to employers, we remind them of their obligations. Ibibigay show cause orders na kailangan nilang mag-comply,” Engr. Primitivo Verania, Jr., Branch Head III of SSS-Dagupan, said.

In this latest operation, six employers in Bayambang, two in Calasiao, and two more in Dagupan were given formal notices. A total of 40 employees were affected by the violations.

SSS gave the employers 15 days to respond and comply.

“Failure to comply, we will refer to our Legal Department and for filing of case po ‘yun,” Verania said.

SSS conducts RACE operations monthly. In 2024 alone, the agency issued show cause orders to 150 employers in Central Pangasinan—of which 65.3% have already complied.

This year, four RACE operations have been conducted since February, and more are scheduled until December.

SSS continues to call on all employers to fulfill their legal responsibilities.

“Sumunod sila sa ating batas. Meron tayong SSS Law,” VP Vilma Agapito, Division Head of SSS-Luzon Central I, said.

“Sana mga delinquent employers, magbayad na. ‘Yung hindi nirereport ang empleyado ay i-report na,” she added.
