Police seized at least five kilos of illegal drugs in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu City.
The buy-bust operation was carried out evening on May 19, 2025 along Pakpakan Road in Barangay Basak.
The haul reached approximately P34 million seized from a woman.
The 50-year-old woman has been determined to be from Tarlac City in Northern Luzon and lives temporarily in a subdivision in Barangay Basak.
Personnel from the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) along with personnel from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) conducted the drug buy-bust operation after weeks of surveillance.
Police described the suspect to be a High Value Individual (HVI) in the illegal drugs trade.
