A total of 12 former members of communist-linked groups surrendered to authorities in Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, and Bulacan between May 13 and 16, 2025.

On May 13, a farmer from Camiling, Tarlac, known only as alias “Ka Mia,” gave up a .38-caliber revolver to intelligence officers of the Camiling Municipal Police Station. She was a former member of KLG-TAR-ZAM.

On May 16, nine members of the Liga ng Manggagawang Bukid renounced ties with the Alyansang Magbubukid sa Gitnang Luzon.

The surrender took place in Barangay Faigal, Guimba, Nueva Ecija. Among them were individuals using the aliases “Gloria,” “Feliza,” and “Irene.”

Also on the same day, a 42-year-old former member of the Rebolusyonaryong Hukbong Bayan (RHB), alias “Ka Ruby,” surrendered in Malolos, Bulacan. She turned over a snub-nose .38-caliber revolver.

In Aliaga, Nueva Ecija, alias “Nonoy,” 32, surrendered his firearm. He was a member of the Pambansang Katipunan ng Magsasaka previously.

According to the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO-3), the series of surrenders is part of the success of the Oplan Balik-Loob program and the efforts of Task Force ELCAC (End Local Communist Armed Conflict) in the region.

Some of those who surrendered have already received initial assistance as authorities continue documentation and start their reintegration process into society.
