A house along the national road in Barangay Magtaking, Bugallon, Pangasinan was damaged after a sports utility vehicle (SUV) crashed through its fence.

According to police, the driver swerved after someone crossed the road suddenly. The vehicle then went through the fence, crashed into the house, and also damaged a motorcycle and van parked there.

Only the SUV driver and their companion were injured in the accident. No one else was harmed.

Merle Velasco, the homeowner, said they were lucky to be at the back of the house when the incident happened.

"Wala kami, andoon kami sa likod. Kung hindi, ay Diyos ko po! Ay ewan ko kung ano ang nangyari sa amin dyan. Pati mga apo ko dyan kami, pati mga kapatid ko, dyan kami nagtatambay kasi alam nyo naman, maiinit. Dyan kami lahat," Velasco said.

Police said both parties have already spoken and the SUV driver promised to cover the cost of repairs.
