Cebu City Hall employees are set to undergo evaluation to ensure that they are most qualified and fit to continue their service under the administration of Mayor-elect Nestor Archival.
Archival has made it clear to place employees of the City Hall under evaluation, following a request of outgoing Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia to keep the employees under the new leadership.
While he wants to keep all City Hall workers, Archival said he would have to verify first if there is sufficient fund for their compensation, and of the employees' competence.
As of this writing, or weeks ahead of Archival's assumption to office, a number of City Hall workers have reportedly approached him about unpaid salaries.
Earlier, Archival expressed his plan to carry on programs such as the completion of both the Cebu Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and the Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC).
