A magnitude 4.2 earthquake rocked Pintuyan town in the Province of Southern Leyte.
Based on Earthquake Information No.1 issued by DOST-PHIVOLCS, the earthquake struck at 1:36 p.m. on Friday, May 23, 2025.
The earthquake was located 09.91°N, 125.22°E - 004 km S 40° W of Pintuyan, Southern Leyte, at a depth of 10 kilometers, and is tectonic in origin.
"No damages expected, no aftershocks expected," the PHIVOLCS advisory reads.
