A spinner dolphin swam back to freedom after residents and authorities rescued it along the coast of Barangay Puro, Magsingal, Ilocos Sur.

According to the town’s municipal fishery coordinator, the dolphin, identified as male, was found by locals after it wandered near the shore of Sitio Pantay.

Authorities checked the dolphin’s condition and found it to be healthy. They released it back into the sea shortly after.

The successful rescue was captured on video, showing the dolphin returning safely to the ocean.

Meanwhile, A fisherman in Abulug, Cagayan caught accidentally an olive ridley sea turtle.

The fisherman reported the incident immediately to the Abulug Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO).

The turtle was then turned over to the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) – Cagayan Valley Marine Technology Outreach Station and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) for examination.

Experts found a wound on the turtle but said it was in stable condition.

After a proper assessment, the sea turtle was released back into the ocean.
