Classes were suspended temporarily at Isabela State University–Echague Campus on May 26 after the school received a bomb threat around 10:28 a.m.
Police and members of the Explosive and Ordnance Division responded quickly to investigate.
The university evacuated students, teachers, and staff so that authorities could inspect the school grounds.
In an official statement, the university said it will tighten campus security following the incident.
Authorities are still trying to identify who was behind the threat.
The public was urged to stay calm and cooperate with authorities to ensure everyone’s safety.
Classes resumed the following day on May 27.
