Several parts of the Bicol Region were shaken by a series of earthquakes early morning on Friday, May 30, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.

The strongest tremor was a magnitude 4.8 quake recorded in Rapu-Rapu, Albay at 2:35 a.m. 

It was followed by a magnitude 2.1 quake in Pandan, Catanduanes at 3:30 a.m., and a magnitude 2.4 quake in Siruma, Camarines Sur at 3:56 a.m.

Residents also felt the shaking in Sorsogon, Legazpi City, Tabaco City, and Sto. Domingo, Albay.

Phivolcs has not reported any damage or aftershocks so far, but continues to monitor the area.
