About 40 families in Barangay Kinasang-an Pardo, Cebu City lost their houses to a fire.

The fire that broke out noontime on June 1, 2025 razed around 30 houses, and partially damaged seven houses in Lower Paradise 3, Barangay Kinasang-an Pardo.

The fire was placed under control about an hour later.

Damage was estimated to have reached P975,000.

Two residents were rushed reportedly to the hospital after complaining shortness of breath.

Residents surmised that there were persons playing with either a lighter or a match that had caused the fire.

As of this writing, the Cebu City Fire Station is investigating on the cause of the fire. One of the challenges the firefighters dealt with is the narrow alleys leading to the site.

Meanwhile, personnel of the Cebu City Social Welfare Services responded immediately as well to provide initial aid.

In its initial count, over 20 families, or over 80 individuals, are affected directly by the fire.

In the Province of Bohol, fire destroyed a house in Barangay Poblacion Dos, Municipality of Bien Unido past 10 a.m. on June 1, 2025.

Damage left behind by the fire posted nearly P250,000.

No one was reported injured in the said fire incident.
