A magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck near Garchitorena, Camarines Sur evening on Thursday, June 5, 2025.

The tremor occurred at 7:11 p.m. and was tectonic in origin, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS). 

The quake's epicenter was located two kilometers northeast of Garchitorena, at a depth of 62 kilometers.

While the earthquake was not expected to cause damage or aftershocks, weak ground shaking was recorded in some parts of Camarines Norte. Instrumental Intensity I was observed in Daet and Jose Panganiban.
