There was no typhoon, but parts of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan still suffered from severe flooding over the weekend.
In Barangay San Rafael 1, a creek overflowed and flooded several homes. Trash floated everywhere as the rain poured.
Strong currents damaged a bridge railing. Large logs carried by the flood also destroyed some houses.
Barangay officials plan to install a warning system with alarms connected to closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras to alert residents quickly when water levels rise again.
