Police arrested a 26-year-old man at a hotel room in Arayat, Pampanga after he allegedly blackmailed a 17-year-old girl with her private videos, and forcing her to have sex with him multiple times.
The suspect, who was wearing only a towel during the arrest, was caught in an entrapment operation by the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG).
“Recently lang po, nakatanggap siya ng message from a stranger at ito’y tinatakot siya… may threat sa message na ikakalat ‘yung mga photos and videos niya with explicit content kung hindi susundin ‘yung kaniyang mga inuutos,” PLT. Wallen Arancillo, spokesperson of PNP-ACG, said.
The victim first met the suspect in 2024 when she asked him to fix her broken cellphone.
Soon after, she began receiving threats involving sensitive content he had access to.
Out of fear, she complied with his demands.
“Nagkaroon sila ng four encounters sa isang hotel. During pagtatalik po ay kinukuhanan ng video at ‘yung lalaking suspek po ay nakatakip ‘yung mukha habang ‘yung victim ay nakikita sa video,” Arancillo added.
Police said the suspect used the videos to threaten the girl repeatedly.
On the latest attempt to lure her into a hotel, the girl told her mother, who then sought help from authorities.
The suspect, who works as an IT staff at a private hospital and works as a cellphone technician on the side, is now facing multiple charges, including:
- Grave coercion
- Grave threat
- Violation of the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children law
- Violation of the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012
“According din sa investigation natin, may dalawa pang nabiktima ito, which is nagri-reach out na rin sa ACG office,” Arancillo said.
