A total of 16 electric poles fell like dominoes along a provincial road in Barangay Bulusan, Calumpit, Bulacan.

According to the Calumpit Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), the poles started falling to the ground after one of them gave in when the ground softened.

The fall caused several wires to snap, creating a hazard for residents and leading to a temporary power outage in the area.

The softening of the soil was blamed for the incident.

Electric company personnel responded quickly and were able to restore power after almost 24 hours.

No injuries were reported.
