Two men wearing masks and carrying what appeared to be a long firearm stormed a hotel in Magalang, Pampanga. They took over P11,000 in cash and three mobile phones before escaping on a motorcycle.

In a closed circuit television (CCTV) footage released by the Pampanga Police Provincial Office, the suspects were seen entering the hotel in Barangay San Antonio at 2:07 a.m. on June 6, 2025.

One suspect who wore a black bonnet declared a robbery and pointed a rifle at a staff member. The other suspect wore a white shirt and covered his face with a cloth.

While the armed man guarded the entrance, his companion ransacked drawers and stole cash and mobile phones.

The total value of stolen items reached P29,250.

According to Magalang Police, the suspects fled on a motorcycle right after the robbery.

“Allegedly, makikita natin sa social media may rifle na ginamit po ang ating suspect at mayroon na po tayong persons of interest. On-going po ang follow-up operation,” PCol. Jay Dimaandal, Director of the Pampanga Police Provincial Office, said.

He added that the firearm might be a replica.

“Considering kung makikita po natin, based sa CCTV, ‘yung M16 po niya — replica. Wala pong magazine and ‘yung scope po nito ay hindi ordinaryong scope ng isang M16,” Dimaandal said.

Victims include a hotel employee, a room attendant, and a businessman. The robbery was reported nearly 10 hours after the incident.

Authorities are still conducting follow-up investigations to identify and arrest the suspects.

The hotel is yet to release a statement.
