For electricity users in Central Pangasinan, power rates are going down this June. The Central Pangasinan Electric Cooperative (CENPELCO) announced a 50-centavo reduction per kilowatt hour on electric bills.

The price cut covers electricity consumption from the second week of May to the second week of June.

According to CENPELCO General Manager, Engr. Rodrigo Corpuz, the rate drop is made possible by the stable foreign exchange rate.

For small business owners like Michelle Ceralde from Mangaldan, the savings go a long way.

Her family’s monthly electric bill ranges from P1,200 to P1,500, and any reduction is welcome.

“Malaking tulong kasi pambawas na rin sa aming mga gastusin,” she said.

As the wet season begins, CENPELCO also assured consumers that the power supply is sufficient. Regular maintenance work is being done to ensure continuous and reliable service.
