A portion of the national highway in Barangay Tabayon, Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental caved in following heavy rains on Thursday, June 12, 2025.
According to the Municipal Engineer’s Office, the incident has already been reported to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
The affected road is not passable, as of this writing, due to safety concerns.
A similar landslide also occurred earlier along another section of the highway in Barangay Malalan.
