A 61-year-old man in Cebu City was found dead at a creek in Barangay Sambag 2.
The man, identified as Wilfredo Sakay, who neighbors referred to as “blue eyes,” was already lifeless when found by a neighbor morning on June 12, 2025.
The creek is situated near houses in Sitio Pailob.
Sakay, who was mute, lived in the area.
Rescuers retrieved his body from the creek and brought to the same to the hospital where a doctor confirmed he was already dead.
Investigators said it is possible that Sakay fell into the creek, and the fall caused his death.
His family chose not to issue a statement.
