Two people died and one was injured after a tricycle collided with a trailer truck along the bypass road in Barangay La Torre, Talavera, Nueva Ecija around 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 12.
According to initial reports, a 10-wheeler wing van sideswiped the tricycle, causing the driver to lose control and swerve into the opposite lane, right in the path of an oncoming trailer truck.
The impact destroyed the tricycle, with its sidecar nearly separating from the motorcycle.
Police are now holding the two truck drivers involved. Both may face appropriate charges.
The victims were reportedly from Bautista, Pangasinan. Their families have yet to issue a statement.
