Police rescued two underage girls in Angeles, Pampanga whose explicit photos and videos their mother allegedly took and sold online.

In a report by Emil Sumangil on 24 Oras, the Philippine National Police – Women and Children Protection Center (PNP-WCPC) said the rescue operation was carried out following reports of online sexual exploitation.

Authorities said the children's mother took the explicit content herself and sold it online for money.

The suspect is now being tracked by authorities. Based on investigation, she was reportedly in a relationship with a foreigner who allegedly taught her how to go about earning money through the online activity.

With the photos and videos of her children, she would reportedly earn P2,500 to P3,000.

‘yun ay 2,500 [to] 3,000 pesos,” PLT. COL. Armelina Manalo, Chief of the Luzon Field Unit, PNP-WCPC, said.

The two children are now under the care of the police and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Masisiguradong maalis yung trauma,” PBGEN. Portia Manalad, Chief of PNP-WCPC, said.

The police urged the public to report any signs of abuse.
