Two boys were arrested for allegedly stealing motorcycles in the towns of Claveria and Jasaan in Misamis Oriental.
The suspects, both 17 years old, were arrested by personnel of the Claveria Municipal Police Station after allegedly stealing a motorcycle in Jasaan.
The suspects reportedly fled to Claveria, prompting authorities to launch a hot pursuit operation.
Police said the suspects were also linked to a motorcycle theft in Claveria.
Authorities recovered four motorcycles hidden under banana leaves at a plantation in Barangay Sta. Cruz, Claveria.
“Ang katong upat kabuok nga mga motorsiklo anaa pa sa Claveria Municipal Police Station kay i-presentar nato for filing of case of carnapping against these two individuals,” Police Regional Office-Northern Mindanao (PRO-10) Spokesperson, Major Joann Navarro, said.
