Authorities are investigating a street brawl involving several men outside a bar in Pagadian City, allegedly over a woman.

In a video footage, two men are seen exchanging punches on the road outside a bar over the weekend.  The scuffle stopped briefly when a man in a yellow shirt approached and tried to intervene.

Moments later, a car and a motorcycle passed by the area just as a chair was thrown in their direction.

The situation escalated quickly, with others joining the commotion, hurling bottles and chairs at one another.

According to the Pagadian City Police, responding officers arrived after the men involved had already fled the scene.

The group had been drinking since Friday evening until dawn the next day and were reportedly intoxicated by the time the altercation broke out.

Authorities are also verifying reports that the fight was caused by a conflict over a woman.

No formal complaints have been filed by the bar owner against those involved in the melee.

Police urged the public to drink moderately and avoid confrontations.
