Supporters of former President Rodrigo Duterte gathered in Davao City and Cagayan de Oro City to mark the 100th day since Duterte was taken to The Hague, Netherlands in connection with the charges filed before the International Criminal Court (ICC) against him for alleged crimes against humanity.

In Davao City, a prayer vigil was held at the Rizal Park where supporters called for Duterte’s return to the Philippines.

Supporters lit candles as a symbol of hope and solidarity. They also signed a manifesto of support for Duterte, calling for justice and Philippine sovereignty.

“Sa iyang pagkapresidente sa atong nasud, sa iyang gihimong sakripisyo, sa iyang gihimong pagpangalagad, kani ang gibalos sa iya,” Davao City Councilor Tek Ocampo said.

Duterte’s legal counsel, Atty. Martin Delgra, and one of the witnesses present during the arrest on March 11, 2025, attended the activity.

“Some people say it was a historic day. To me, it was a day of infamy kay daghan kaayo og mga panghitabo nga dili angay nga mahitabo kay supak sa balaod,” Delgra said.

“My humble request for all of us here is to continue to support him, to continue to show your love for him, to continue to pray for him para sya pud matagamtam bisag layo kaayo siya, matagamtam niya nga gidayeg gihapon, gihugugma sya sa mga taong iyang giserbisyo,” he added.

Meanwhile, in Cagayan de Oro City, hundreds of Duterte supporters also gathered at the Kiosko Kagawasan Park in the Divisoria area to commemorate the 100th day since Duterte was taken to the ICC.

A solidarity program was held led by Councilor Girlie Balaba, a known Duterte ally in Northern Mindanao.

Balaba emphasized the need for Duterte to return to the country, saying his detention was illegal from the beginning.
