Entry to the six-kilometer extended danger zone (EDZ) on Mount Kanlaon in Negros Island is again prohibited.
Entry from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. to carry out farming and livelihood activities is suspended effective Tuesday, June 24, 2025, until further notice.
The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Western Visayas issued the advisory on Monday, June 23, 2025, based on DOST-PHIVOLCS Kanlaon Volcano Bulletin after 67 volcanic earthquakes were recorded from 5 a.m. on June 22, 2025 to 5 a.m. on June 23, 2025, with sulfur dioxide flux that measured 755 tons per day, as of June 22, 2025; plume that rose 950 meters tall, and voluminous, continuous degassing that drifted northeast and north-northeast of the summit crater.
